The Babysitter (2017)
The sloppest of them all!
Presentation:
A film made to be on Netflix. Ridiculous, fun, indulgent, silly, over the top and formulaic. This is the Big Mac of movies, a bloody popcorn flick with all the expected cliches and tropes with just enough novelty to make it the perfect guilty pleasure. I really liked this popcorn movie, maybe because I really like Samara Weaving but I have the feeling if you like Tarantino films this shares some of the same sensibilities. It looks like a horror/slasher but itโs over the top fun and more comedic in tone.
Conclusion:
With a babysitter like that, who could resist! Fan service for modern colosseum entertainment. This is the kind of harmless slop that is worth the Netflix subscription. Maybe films like Final Destination are better, but this one is so delightfully unserious that it might even surprise you with a good time.
