Legends of a hotel ghost story that no one can remember.
Presentation:
John Cusack in a horror movie? Normally I would bother covering a commercial film like this, except 20 years later people are somehow still talking about it. This unique horror thriller of a haunted hotel room was thrilling as a teenager with an awesome concept. But itโs such an integral part of my cinematic journey because of the open ended conclusion. But you probably donโt remember the final ending because they changed it over time.
Conclusion:
For a film, let alone commercial movie to be discussed 20 years later means it has merit. There are many films that are open to interpretation or have iconic twists, but how can a popcorn movie like this one still retain its relevance? This one was just shy of reaching cult status, perhaps due to the multiple revised endings. If you have an extra 2 hours to kill, Stephen King never disappoints with his ghost stories. And the thing about ghost stories, is they never die!
