Memento (2000)
When a film is presented backwards.
Presentation:
Christopher Nolan's obsession with time goes way back to the beginning with this unique one of a kind film. A man with short term memory loss tracks down a murderer. This allows Nolan to utilize a script where the film is presented in reverse chronological order so that the audience can understand the perspective of a person with this disability. It's very novel, but ultimately not as satisfying as some of his other works. Cinematography is similar to his other fil,s with Wally PFister, which don't focus on cinematography but rather the story and dialogue.
Conclusion:
The story isn't super strong, you'll like the idea of the this film more than the story itself. Like many of these artistic films, you'll tell yourself you love it, but there's some convincing to be done.
