In Bruges (2008)
Wit, personality and a ton of fun.
Presentation:
Unique storytelling and structure with a likable performance from Colin Farrell. Has some underground indie European sensibilities, which may find more enjoyment from genre explorers. Somehow reminds me of Boondock Saints and Pulp Fiction with some bumbling detective work.
Conclusion:
Left an impression on me years after, though the details may be fuzzy, the emotion has stayed. A fun film in a refreshing style different than typical narrative structures. Everything from Martin McDonagh is witty and fresh. If you want something new, this is a director you can’t skip.
