The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014)
Wes Anderson's most polished art project.
Presentation:
This is probably Wes Anderson's greatest films with a good script paired with great sets as usual in his signature style. Taking inspiration from other thriller films, the film incorporates many storytelling elements include monologues breaking the fourth wall and flashbacks. The film is a lot of fun, childish yet also mature with storybook-esque cinematography.
Conclusion:
A great cast as usual, this is arguably peak Anderson along with Moonrise Kingdom. His other earlier works also have great scripts, but this certainly has one of his most impressive and concrete screenplays. Could be considered the epic of Wes Anderson.
