Star Trek (2009)
A sci-fi space film that has no right being this good.
Presentation:
I have never been into Star Trek and if you haven’t either, you’ll still likely be blown away by this film. The only people that won’t like this film are probably hardcore Star Trek fans that prefer the originals. It has no right being this good with a substantial script and plot that balances perfectly on blockbuster popcorn flick without the dumbed down storytelling. This may convert you into a trekkie, though unfortunately future sequels of this modern entry don’t have the same spark of vision.
Conclusion:
Funny, interesting and most importantly, entertaining. A welcome and surprising sci-fi film that delivers more than you’d expect on all fronts. An adventure you’ll want explore, if only the sequels were just as good.
