The greatest soccer film might be a martial arts comedy.
Presentation:
In the golden age of Hong Kong films, the movies separated from Hollywood with their wild, zany and creative approach to cinema. If you like Kung Fu Hustle, you’ll equally love this one. Mixing soccer, kung fu and comedy delivers one of the most hilariously awesome popcorn flicks from Hong Kong. The stunts are incredible, the vfx are perfectly over the top, the characters and story have the perfect amount of cheesy charisma to indulge in a perfect guilty pleasure.
Conclusion:
It’s too bad HK cinema decided to take a more serious blockbuster route. Movies like this aren’t really made any more, but if you want that vintage asian cinema experience, look no further. This is one of the best films to come out of HK and could be your gateway into a new genre of indulgent fun. More popcorn!
