Life (2017)
Aliens have plot armor too.
Presentation:
The monster looks amazing and its growth is really a spectacle. It feels like a big production and a solid alien horror. The beginning is a bit slow, but when things pick up they entertain for the rest of the ride. As far as popcorn alien sci-fi films, I actually think this one is pretty good. As long as you don’t see it as anything other than a carnival ride or house of horrors, it’s devilishly fun and a very entertaining popcorn alien flick.
Conclusion:
Some of the characters are downright frustrating and you really wonder how any of this could be possible. You'll yell at the screen or roll your eyes but it's still all in good fun. The alien(s) have a bit too much plot armor but I did overall enjoy the dark spirals. I just wish there was a sequel as the ending was a bit abrupt. An appreciated alien horror that doesn't offer too much new, but doesn't disappoint.
